Boeing Courses In U.S. For N.A.C. Men
(From Our Own Reporter)
WELLINGTON, May 26.
A selected group of specialist officers of the National Airways Corporation will next month attend courses at the Boeing Aircraft Corporation’s works in Seattle.
The course*, which will begin on June 12, will cover various aspects of maintenance of the Boeing 737 airliner.
Although the actual contract has not yet been signed (it is understood that the N.A.C. Boeings have been allotted positions 84 to 86 on the production line), the Boeing company has already arranged courses at its own expense for officers of dient airlines. The courses cover the fitting and maintenance of the fuel system, wiring, engines, hydraulics and electronic sys-
terns, and range from four to 10 weeks. From 20 to 50 officers from various airline firms will attend each course. It is understood that N.A.C. has had some difficulty in arranging for so many key men to be away at once without damaging efficiency. One or two men have yet to be selected.
