Op-art Rolls For Lennon
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, May 26. The leader of the Beatles, John Lennon, yesterday took delivery of his op-art Rolls Royce. It took five weeks to paint the £ll,OOO limousine yellow and to speckle it with bunches of blue, red,, green and white flowers. Signs of the Zodiac have been painted on the roof. A Rolls Royce spokesman has commented: “It is Mr Lennon’s car and he can paint it any way he likes, but Rolls Royce does not generally favour this type of decoration.
