MUSEUM AT AKAROA
Growing Public Interest There has been growing publie interest in the Lang-lois-Eteveneaux Museum at Akaroa since it was opened a little more than two years ago, the chairman of the board of control (Mr I. H. Menzies) told the Akaroa County Council yesterday. Since the opening more than 16,000 persons had signed the visitors* book, but it was estimated that only one in four visitors did this. Sustained interest had been shown by the number of new exhibits and historic items being continually given. Included in these were the documents relating to the property on- which the museum stood. These had been given by Mr Graham Eteveneaux, of Wellington, and were dated July, 1855.
