Noted French Owner Dies
Copyright) PARIS. Mr Cino del Duca, an Ita-Han-born publisher and one of France’j leading race horse owners, died on Tuesday night in a Milan hospital after a cerebral hemorrhage. He was aged 67. Mr del Duca wae a director of the French newspaper, “Paris-Jour,” and publisher of several children's and women's magazines. His racing team Included Her. bager, the 1959 winner of the Prix du Jockey Club and the French Derby, and Sotlokoff, the 1957 winner of the Arc de Triomphe, Europe’s richest race.
His 50 or more horses ran in his wife’s name. Mr. del Duca was born In Montedinove, Italy, in July 1899, and served in the Italian army during the First World War. He left Italy in 1932 after being imprisoned for several months for his anti-Fascist politdcai views.
He began business in France, taking French citizenship in 1957. He was married In 1947 to a Frenchwomen, Miss Simone Nirouet.
