CHRISTCHURCH ARTIST’S SUCCESS.—Doris Lusk with her water colour, “Seated Woman with Child,” which won the first prize of £200 in the watercolour section of the 1967 National Bank art awards. A second painting, “Central Otago Landscape,” won a special award. This was only the second time in the history of the contest that it had been won by a woman. The bank has bought the winning painting and presented it to the National Gallery.
