School Has ‘No Effect’
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The pre-season Rugby coaching school for young backs has not had any apparent effect yet, according to one of the school’s organisers. Coaches at the school in Wellington impressed on several hundred young footballers the need to develop certain “higher skills.” “It Is too early to judge yet, but what we tried to put across at the school has had no obvious influence on the players,” the president of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union (Mr C. G. Gibbsons) said yesterday.
