Passed In At £5000
A modern house at 159 Hackthorne road, Cashmere, was passed in at £5OOO at public auction yesterday. The sale was held by Dalgety and New Zealand Loan, Ltd. The auctioneer was Mr F. Carpenter.
The house of about 1300 square feet has two bedrooms, kitchen, living-room, dining-room, bathroom, laundry and basement garage.
Woman Injured.—Erin McGifford, of 26 Hart street, Lyttelton, suffered moderately serious head injuries and lacerations when she fell from her motor-scooter at the intersection of Ferry road and Fitzgerald avenue yesterday afternoon. She was admitted to Christchurch Hospital, where her condition last night was satisfactory.
