Mr I. D. Gebbie has been appointed acting director of surgery to the North Canterbury Hospital Board during the absence overseas on study leave of Mr H. E. H. Denham. Messrs K. A. Gough (St. Albans), R. H. Bowron (Rangiora), and R. S. Scott (Fendalton) were elected yesterday by the Canterbury-West-land division of the National Party as its delegates to the Dominion conference.
