Sea Cadets On Holmdale

Two Wellington youths, both sea cadets from T.S. Taupo at Mana, are travelling in the Holmdale, ait present at Lyttelton, through the courtesy of the Holm Shipping Company. They are Robert Noel Ingram, an apprentice carpenter, aged 16, and Robert John Jardine, a pupil of Tawa College. The boys joined the Holmdale at Onehunga and will continue the voyage, which is part of their training, to Dunedin, the Chatham Islands and back to Lyttelton, where they will disembark. During their shipboard life, the youths are being given every opportunity to further their nautical knowledge. The company has provided similar facilities for sea cadets on previous occasions.
