LONDON, May 9. Prospectors searching for tin in Cornwall have found a deposit which promises to give the richest yields ever known, the “Daily Mirror” reported today. A spokesman for the consortium of four companies involved in the “we have struck it rich, very rich. There is no possible doubt about it. Disclosed Later “Full details are being kept secret for the time being, but will be made known in due course." The strike has been made at Pendarves, near Camborne. The four companies are Union Corporation, Guggenheim, Pacific Tin, and Tehidy Minerals.

Cornwall is dotted with tin mines and some of the old workings were being mined more than a 1000 years ago.
