B.H.P. Takes Up Nickel Options

SYDNEY, May 9.

The Broken Hill Proprietary Company, Ltd. has taken up more options as part of its search for nickel-bearing areas in the Rockhampton district of Queensland.

Capricornia Mineral Development Company Pty., Ltd., will receive $400,000 from B.H.P. for an option over 1000 acres of its leases at Marlborough, about 70 miles north-west of Rockhampton. This was announced today by Vam, Ltd., the mining investor, which holds a substantial interest in Capricornia.
