Auck. Gas Div. Not Covered

AUCKLAND, May 9. The profit of the Auckland Gas Company, Ltd., in the year to March 31 showed an improvement but, as in the previous year, failed to cover the steady 5 per cent dividend. The latest result fell short of the requirement of £26,627, the chairman (Mr A. G. Wilson) says in a preliminary announcement. The profit in 1965-66 was £20,551 —a drop of 36.6 per cent. The dividend is payable on June 15, ex May 29.
