The women’s final was an ■ all-American contest, Mrs ‘ Billie Jean King beating the . defending champion, Miss 1 Rosemary Casals, 6-1, 6-3. Roche and Newcombe in ■ the men’s doubles beat two i Americans, A. Fox and R. ’ Holmberg, 6-2, 63, 3-6, 63. Mrs King and Miss Casals ’ won the women’s doubles title ! by beating Misses Lynn . Abbes and Jane Albert, 6-1, , 6-2.
