Shortage Of Coal

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, May 8. Coal supplies in this chilly province are causing some concern. Mr G. J. Brazier, president of the Invercargill Coal Merchants’ Association, says there is enough coal on hand to last for a few days and hospitals have only two days’ supply. However, the Drivers’ Union ban does not apply to the road transport of coal for the hospitals.
