Circus Gear Destroyed
(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ May 8. A truck loaded with spare equipment for Ashton’s Circus caught fire about 3.30 in Palmerston North this morning. The truck is a complete write-off and damage is estimated at over £lOOO.
A basket of irreplaceable costumes, worth hundreds of pounds, was completely destroyed, as was a canvas side-walling for the big-top. ■
