Two Shooters Killed

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. A man died in a shotgun accident at Skull Creek, south of Whangarei early today while duck shooting.

He was Stuart Edward Foot, aged 47, married with three children, of 332 Kamo road, Kamo. Mr Foot was shooting alone at the time. A friend found him about 9 a.m. Police believe Mr Foot had slipped in his mia-mia. A shooter was killed at Mangawhata, 30 miles from Palmerston North, today when his shotgun discharged as he fell from a moving truck. He was

Ynding Robert Governor, 23, of Longburn, Palmerston North. Mr Governor was riding on

the tray of a truck when he overbalanced and fell. He was hit in the shoulder by the blast from the gun and died of injuries shortly after. The accident occurred about 4.25 p.m. Another man who accidentally shot himself on Saturday was in a fair condition in Middlemore Hospital tonight. He is Thomas Takurua Heremaia, aged 27, of Otara, Auckland. Mr Heremaia was climbing a fence when he dropped his shotgun and it went off.
