"The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, March 19. The Judgment of a Manurewa fanner, Mr R. G. Chitty, was proved sound when he sold a colt by Test Case at lands today for 1800gns, the top price at the inaugural Waikato yearling sales. It was paid by Mr D. B. Clarkson, of Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd., acting for a Masterton owner, Mr L Mcßae. The colt was bought by
Mr Chitty for 600gns at the national yearling sales at Trentham in January.
The youngster showed signs of lameness at the time, but Mr Chitty took the risk and in less than three months has shown a nice profit The colt was sold at Trentham on account of Mr J. H. Lindsay, of the Balcarres Stud. He is from the same family as the champion stayer Galilee.
