A.S.R.S. TALKS
18 Meetings Held
(N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 19. Today the national series of A.S.R.S. stop-
work meetings gained full momentum, as 18 out of the 55 branches held protests.
They were expected to pass the same motions condemning the Government for its attempt to negate the railway tribunal’s recently granted 6d hourly margin for skill and responsibility. Meetings were held today from Dargaville to Otira, from Woburn to Waipara. At the same time, a protest deputation from the Railway Tradesmen’s Association made an official call on the Government to register its opposition to the threatened margin negation.
