BUS HITS ANOTHER

Passengers Injured

Six persons were treated at the Christchurch Hospital for minor injuries after one Transport Board bus ran into the back of another in Colombo street at the Moorhouse avenue intersection last night. The accident happened about 11.20 p,m. Five passengers—two women, a girl and two men—were taken to hospital in a St. John ambulance. Another man arrived at the hospital soon afterwards. AH were discharged after treatment for bruises, cuts and shock. Both buses were going south along Colombo street A Lincoln road (No. 7) bus ran into the back of a Spreydon (No. 14) bus opposite the Evangelistic Temple just north of the light-controlled intersection. The back of the front bus was crumpled and two men passengers sitting in the back were fortunate to escape without injury. The front of the second bus was severely damaged. The driver suffered only a bump. Glass showered on to the road. The second bus was towed away by a Transport Board tractor. The other bus was driven across the intersection and parked in Moorhouse avenue.
