Hurt At Work
Mr C. Pepper, of 12 Sharlick street, suffered leg and internal injuries when a steel truss fell on him while he was working on a building site in Shortland street yesterday afternoon. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital where his condition was reported to be satisfactory.
Detective Promoted.—Detective D. N. Scott, of the Christchurch Central Police Station, has been promoted to detective sergeant. He will remain in Christchurch.
