PLANE FROM JAPAN

MELBOURNE, April 16.
The first Japanese aircraft to fly over Australia since 1942 landed at Melbourne’s Essendon airport yesterday afternoon. The last one was shot down over Darwin during the Second World War.
The aircraft, a twin-engined turbo-prop executive plane left Nagoya, Japan, eight days ago. The plane has been brought to Australia by the agents for the Nagoya aircraft works for demonstration flights.
