Soil Moisture
The soil moisture deficit on the non-irrigated area at the Winchmore irrigation research station was 160 points yesterday compared with 204 at the same time last year. The deficit has been 200 points or greater on 49 days this season compared with 42 days at the same stage of last season. The deficit on the irrigated area was 80 paints. This area can next be irrigated on April 24 and was last irrigated on February 27.
