Burnt To Death
A man was burnt to death last night when fire destroyed a hut on a Glentunnel property owned by McSkimmings Industries, Ltd. The police have not released his name.
The man, it is thought arrived at his hut about 9.30 p.m. He was employed as a labourer. About 10 p.m. it was noticed that the hut was alight. After the blaze had been extinguished, members of the Hororata Volunteer Fire Brigade found the man’s body on the floor in the middle of the razed building.
