V. Cong Blow Up Bridge

The Viet Cong today blew up a small bridge couth of the large United States air base of Da Nang as a South Vietnamese truck and armoured car convoy were crossing it Earlier the guerrillas destroyed three other bridges—one north of Da Nang and the other two near the provincial capital of Quang Tri into which the Viet Cong threw 130 mortar bombs. The Viet Cong also opened fire on the truck and armoured car convoy, but none of the vehicles was damaged by the blast that destroyed the bridge.
