RESOLUTION “That in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred on it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1956, and the Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956, and amendments and regulations made thereunder and of all other powers there unto enabling the Malvern County Council doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order to borrow the sum of Eighteen Thousand Five Hun dred Pounds (£18,500) by a loan to be known as the Bridges Loan, 1967, for the purpose of meeting part cost of erecting bridges, subject to the following determinations: (1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be thirty years. (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five and one-half per cent per annum. (3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in clause 1 hereof (4) The payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. (5) The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent of any amount raised. (6) No money shall be borrowed under this sanction 1 after the expiration of three years from the date hereof.” A copy of this Special Order, is deposited at the offices of the Malvern County Council, Darfleld, and is open to the inspection of the public during ordinary office hours until the said Sth day of May, 1967. Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, it is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if not less than five per cent of the ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the Ratepayers Roll of the County so demand, by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution.
