“UNFAIR”
Disappointment at the absence of television cameramen from his Fendalton by-election meeting last evening was expressed by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Kirk). But there was a television camera at the meeting being held by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) nearby, he said. Perhaps this was because he was Prime Minister and the National Government controlled broadcasting. “It is unfair when they own both the press and the television,” he complained.
