HOCKEY TESTS

Two In Chch Likely The Australian men’s hockey team to tour New Zealand between July 27 and August 27 will probaby play 20 games, including two in Christchurch. Provision has been made in a tentative itinerary for three test matches, at Christchurch, Dunedin and Auckland. The itinerary is to be submitted to the Australian Hockey Association for approval. August 12, First Test, Chrtotcharch; 14, South Canterbury, Timaru; 15, New Zealand Universities, Dunedin; 17, Southland, Invercargill; 18, Second Test, Dunedin; 21, Ashburton; 22, Canterbury, Christchurch; 24, Hawke’s Bay, Napier; 26, Third Test, Auckland. The New Zealand selectors (Messes I. D. Armstrong and B. H. Macktalay) have named 16 players who, M is proposed, wtil be assembled for training during week-ends in May, Juns and July.
