BETTER GRAPES
Coromandel Potential (N.Z. Fraas Aaaoeiotton) HAMILTON, April 12. A spokesman for the Wine Research Station at Te Kauwhata said today that an analysis of grapes grown in the Coromandel peninsula had shown them to be of high quality and “a little better" than those of other winegrowing districts in New Zealand. The acidity had been slightly; lower and the sugar content slightly higher than in grapes from the established wine-growing areas, the spokesman said. “Thames and Coromandel have a very good potential if anyone would like to have a go,” ho said.
