To Replace Wallaby
The Auckland and 1964-65 AH Black first five-eighths, P. H. Murdoch, will replace the Australian representative, P. F. Hawthorne, in the Cantabrian team to play the Barbarians at Lancaster Park on Sunday. Hawthorne has withdrawn because of injury. Murdoch had his first firstclass game in 1964 when he represented Auckland in 11 of the province’s 15 matches. He toured Australia with the New Zealand colts team that year, and completed the season with two games for New Zealand in its three-test series against the touring Australians.
He also played in the first three tests against the 1965 Springboks.
