Hagley Park Cycle Tracks

Sir,—The pathway for cyclists through Hagley Park should be kept in decent repair, just as the roads are. However, it appears that the City Council does not hold this view. For over a month I have been going through Hagley Park bn a bicycle twice daily and I wince each time I come across a particular stretch that not only is sprinkled with pot-holes but also has patches over former holes so badly sealed as to make very bumpy riding.—Yours, etc, SORE SEAT. April 6, 1967. [The Director of Reserves (Mr H. G. Gilpin) replies: “Repairs to pathways through Hagley Park are already in hand and should be completed at an early date.”]
