WALLET TAKEN
Taxi Driver Robbed (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 10. A taxi-driver was pulled from his car in a back street in Glen Eden early today and robbed of £5O. Mr R. A. Weatherhead, of Grey Lynn, said he picked up two men from a rank in Surrey crescent about 4 a.m. to take them to Titirangi. In Glen Eden, they directed him to stop in Scott road where he was pulled from his seat. He told the police he struck his head on the ground as he fell from the car. The two men tore his wallet from his pocket and disappeared into the darkness. Police and dogs searched the area for some hours without result
