GLADAUB WINS AT BEAUMONT

Gladaub mastered top-weight of 9-0 to win bi® twenty-fourth race in the Molyneux Handicap, the six furlong sprint and the second leg of the Beaumont Racing Club’s T.A.B. double on Saturday. But he had to be ridden out to hold off a brilliant late challenge by Grey Satin, which failed by the barest of margins to peg beck the Goretrained gelding. Golden Web, seventh favourite on the win and place, set the stage for a £ll2 6s 6d double when the Cassock gelding held off the fast finishing Bellcara in the Publicans’ Cup.
