Successful Meeting
"The Cheviot Trotting Club had one of its most successful meetings ever at Rangiora Raceway on Saturday. Both on and off-course turn-over showed worthwhile increases. The meeting was held in fine, cool weather with the track little affected by overnight rain. On-course turn-over amounted to £50,164 10s, including £9122 on the two doubles, compared with £44,513 last year. .Off - course turn - over amounted to £46,840, including £20,836 10s on the double, compared with £33,000 10s last year.
