The appointee will be required to commence his duties on February 1, 1968, or at such other times aa might be arranged. The Council intends to appoint a scholar who has substantial interests In mathematical studies of business and economics. He will be expected to undertake research and advanced teaching In mathematical economics, econometrics, or operations research, and, in consultation with the Head of the Department, to assume general supervision of the fields tn which he works.
