G. Archer (California) turned aside a determined bid by D. Sanders (269) in the final round of the Greater Greensboro golf tournament to win with a final score of 267—17 under par. A. J. Palmer was third on 271. Palmer's placing earned him 9375 dollars, and took him to top place on the 1967 official money-winning list, with 54,673 dollars. It also gave Palmer more than 800,000 dollars in official career earnings the first golfer to reach that figure.
