“THE RAINMAKERS,” a statuary group at Christies Beach. It is the work of Mr G. R. Shedley, design architect of the South Australian Housing Trust. The inscription reads: “Before the dawn of history, the Australian Aborigine became isolated from all mankind and roamed this continent creating his own arts and culture. Two old men of the tribe squat over the sacred rainstone and chant their age-old songs to bring water for the people and food for the creatures.”
