ONE OF THE THEATRES in the South Australian Housing Trust development at Windsor Green, Elizabeth. The fountain and lily pond were unveiled by the Queen in 1963. The fountain consists of bronze figures and animals sculptured in high relief placed on a simple slab of white granite lift high and 7ft wide placed vertically at the edge of the pool. Two female figures are. grouped to face the morning sun on the outer surface of the granite. On the reverse side is an arrangement of six plaques depicting native animals and birds. The complete sculpture portrays ancient [elements—water, fire and earth. A shaft of water issues from a slot 15 inches wide, forming a fan-like canopy for 12ft over the pool.
