UNIVERSITY VACANCIES MONASH UNIVERSITY. MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA FACULTY OF LAW SENIOR LECTURERS AND LECTURERS IN LAW Applications are invited for appointment to the above positions. Salary: Senior lecturers, 3A6500-6A7600 per annum; lecturers, 3A4800-3A6300 per annum with superannuation on the F.S.S.U. basis. The Monash University Law School began teaching in 1964 and has established teaching in the following subjects: The legal system, criminal law. history (British history for law student), the law of contracts, the law of torts, constitutional law, property I, property 11, legal history, evidence, commercial law, family law, wills and the administration of estates, conveyancing and drafting and comparative law. During 1968 and 1969 it is intended - to establish teaching in the following additional subjects: Taxation, industrial law, creditors’ rights, civil and criminal procedure, legal persons (including company law) and advanced constitutional law. The permanent staff of the Law School in 1967 includes 19 members of the rank of lecturer and above. It is hoped to fill a number of new posts by the beginning of 1968 to enable teaching in the additional subjects listed above to be established. Applicants should be able to take up duty not later than December, 1967. March 20. 1967. 2369 THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA HISTORY Aplicatlons are invited for the following appointments in the Department of History: SENIOR LECTURESHIP A vacancy for a Senior Lecturer will occur at the beginning of August and the Department. Is particularly anxious to appoint a specialist in early modern European history (14501725), preferably someone with an interest in Italian history. However, applications from specialists in Tudor or Stuart history, later modern British history and later modern European history or from candidates able to teach the Rise of the West course (1450-1900) will also be considered. The salary range for the post is A 6500-7600 dollars p.a.a, with superannuation similar to F.S.S.U. The University Library is well stocked with books and microfilms on Italian history and about 40 Italian and Renaissance historical journals are available. TEMPORARY LECTURESHIP A Temporary Lectureship will be available for the year 1968. Preference will be given to specialists in medieval English or medievel European history, but applications from candidates willing to teach any course offered by the Department will be considered.
