Drivers Elect Officers
Mr H. Hornbrook was this week elected president of the Canterbury Drivers’ Union, The retiring president (Mr L. Peachey) was elected a life member, and was presented with two rocking-chairs. Mr Peachey was president for about 12 years.
Other officers elected were: vice-president, Mr J. Le Breton; executive, Messrs H. Evans, W. J. Hughey, R. H. McDonald, G. Searle, A. Hamburger, P. R. Leggett, G. J. Handley, L. Smart, and H. H. Ruben.
