Present At Birth
(N.Z. Prest Atsn.—Copyright) CHICO (California), March 26. James Molen, aged 23, handcuffed himself to a sink in the hospital delivery room in which his wife, Barbara, aged 21, was giving birth today. After a healthy baby boy had been born, the police sawed off the handcuffs and arrested Mr Molen for disturbing the peace. They said he had been ordered out of the room earlier but was told he could watch the delivery from a window. Instead, he ran in and handcuffed himself to the sink at the foot of the delivery table. Hospital attendants said the mother and son were in good condition.
