N.Z. Teams In Form

(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. Two touring New Zealand Rugby teams have given the sport a great lift in northwestern New South Wales, the Sydney Sun-Herald said yesterday. The tlams, Zingarl and Meri-vale-Papanui, on Saturday played matches against clubs in the central northern zone. At Qulrindi, 244 mUee north-west of Sydney, the young Zingari team trounced the zone’s premier team, Qulrindi, 35-3. Its speedy wing play and brilliant attacking moves proved too much for the local side. Zingari then beat a highly-trained side from Barraba, 324 miles north-west of Sydney, 15-3. At Tamworth, 285 miles north of Sydney, Merivale-Papanui beat Tamworth in a high standard match. The tourists were taller and heavier but Tamworth played solidly throughout.
