LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
(1) Letter* sent to the Editor for printing should preferably be typed, otherwise they must be written in ink on one side of the paper only. A legible signature and full address are required whether these are to be published or not. APO. box number is not a sufficient address. <2) Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers (3) The tditor cannot return or keep any letter which for any reason Is unsuitable for printing: nor can he acknowledge unsuitable letters although this will be done where it seems to be needful, or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be of more than 150 words. Dolly.—You are her sister-in-law. Vulcan. —No space now for another discusion of the Congo and its politics. A.M.B.—We are not reopening correspondence on "Mona Vale" just now. A. B. Cedarlan. —No space for a correspondence on Russia just now. Sick Of It.—Perhaps; but we have no space for it. The theatre, we understand, has now changed the order of the programme. J.W.R.—If you have reason to believe you are getting stale or re-heated bread you should complain to your vendor. If you do not get satisfaction take the evidence to the Department of Health. Ignorance Is Bliss.—A representative of the firm replies: “The notice was posted to assist in the efficient handling of students’ requirements during the initial rush period. Similar notices are common outside university bookshops and libraries here and overseas. If the correspondent would care to call he will find us quite prepared to discuss the matter further."
