CEMETERY PROPOSAL
Highgate Sale To Russia

The firm which owns London’s Highgate cemetery, where Karl Marx is buried, is considering selling it to the Russian Government, the “Daily Sketch" reported. The proposal has been put to the firm. Raybar Holdings, by a shareholder who thinks that the Russians would like to control the area around the grave.
But there is no suggestion that the cemetery would be closed to the public. The proposal will be discussed at a special meeting soon. If a favourable decision is reached, the Russian Government will be approached.
