DIRECTING KRUPP’S
Six Named For Council
ESSEN (West Germany), March 13. Alfred Krupp has named six men, including a trade unionist and three professors, to form a supervisory council to run his giant coal, steel and engineering complex, after 150 years of family direction. The domination of the council, which has the powers of a board of directors of a limited company, is the first part of the price Mr Krupp has to pay for Government guarantees to help his firm over temporary difficulties.
The firm must also become a corporation by the end of 1968 in return fm the Gov. eminent underwriting 300 million marks export finance guarantees to help the company meet its export commitments.
