‘STILL IN PRISON’
Subandrio And Dhani (N.Z. P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SINGAPORE, March 13. The former Indonesian Foreign Minister, Dr. Subandrio, and the Air Force chief, Omar Dhani, are still in prison in Indonesia awaiting the carrying out of the death sentence, according to reports. They were sentenced to death last year for complicity in the abortive, pro-Com-munist coup attempt in October, 1965. On March 4, Radio Djakarta reported that Dhani had refused to appeal to Dr. Sukarno for clemency and was awaiting the firing squad. Dr. Subandrio was reported to have.asked for a reprieve only 24 hours before the deadline for his appeal, but the result of this was not known.
