RESOLUTION.—The New Zealand batsman, K. Thomson, shows grim concentration as he plays a forward defensive stroke into a group of Australian fieldsmen during New Zealand’s first innings on the second day of the second test at Carisbrook, Dunedin. Thomson scored 21 not out and added 51 runs for the fifth wicket with V. Pollard.
