AUSTRALIAN RUGBY TOUR
Good Win To Central Otago (Special Crspdt. N.Z.PA.) SYDNEY., The touring Central Otago Rugby team opened its Australian campaign with a sound 19-9 win over Northern Suburbs in appalling conditions at Killara on Saturday. After a close and scrappy first half the New Zealanders led, 5-3, but they got well on top in the second spell and ran out easy winners.
The star of the Central Otago side was the 20-year-old halfback, L. Colling, who scored two glorious tries, showed great initiative in attack and gave a classy display of handling and passing in spite of the conditions.
