Final Won By New Brighton
New Brighton won the South Island Working Men’s Clubs’ fours tournament at the Woolston Working Men’s Club’s green when it beat Woolston in an even final, 12-11, yesterday. After 21 ends the score was 11-all, but New Brighton scored at the twenty-second end to win the match.
The winning team was F. 801 l (Skip), R. Gash, F. Latham and W. Carter, and the runners-up, K. Murray (skip). J. O. Halloram, R. Cresswell and C. Lang. One hundred and twenty-four teams competed In the tournament.
