UNIVERSITY VACANCIES University Of Canterbury SENIOR LECTURERS OR LECTURERS IN ECONOMICS APPLICATIONS are Invited for the positions of Senior Lecturers or Lecturers in the Department of Economics at this University. Salary attached to the position is £l5OO to £2700 per annum subject to a bar at £2200 per annum. The appointee will be required to commence his duties on February 1, 1968, or at such other time as might be arranged. The Council intends to appoint a scholar who has substantial interests in mathematical studies of business and economics. He will be expected to undertake research and advanced teaching in mathematical economics, econometrics, or operations research, and, in consultation with the Head of the Department, to assume general supervision of the fields in which he works. The salary will be within the range of £3600 to £4600 per annum. The commencing or subsequent salary may be increased as a result of the review which is made at the beginning of each year. In the case of an overseas appointee, salary will be paid from an approved date of embarkation. Approved fares to Christchurch will be paid.
