Presentation To Principal
At the annual meeting of the Avonside Girls’ High School Parent-Teachers’ Association the president (Mr V. R. Aitken) made a presentation to Miss M. P. Stevenson, the principal of the school.
Miss Stevenson has been awarded the Woolf-Fisher Fellowship for travel and study overseas. She is the first woman principal in New Zealand to receive the award, which is granted to secondary schoolteachers.
